TIM GERRON
Production Manager
With over 30 years in the music industry, Tim Gerron has developed a versatile and diverse ability to capture great recordings, deliver detailed mixes, and provide well produced masters. After graduating from recording school in 1989, he began working as a house engineer at the Back Room in Austin, TX. It was there that he learned live stage production and management. He quickly became the front of house engineer for Skrew, Dead Horse, Grotus, and Spud Monsters.
In 1992, Tim began his career at legendary Westlake Audio in Los Angeles, ultimately becoming one of Westlake Audio’s house engineers. During this time, he worked with artists such as David Bowie, Frank Black, John Waite, James Taylor, The Monkeys, Holly Cole, Marcus Miller, Ice Cube, Montell Jordan, Simon Philips, Henry Rollins, and Joe Strummer.
In 1998, Tim returned to Austin and helped Music Lab develop their studio and production departments. There he worked with many artists, including Doyle Bramhall Sr. on his 2011 Grammy nominated album “Is It News”, The Gourds, Mike Haaga, and Rob Roy Parnell. In 2012, Tim began Gerron Music at Space ATX. In 2014, Tim became Space’s Production Manager. Space ATX’s production department has grown from recording to adding photography and video production to its services.
